Why April is great for Welcome to Wrexham Season 3

Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 has just been announced and it is coming out much sooner than most people expected and that is a really good thing.

  1. By airing the season 3 starting in April they have the option of announcing a Wrexham US Tour 2024 either in an episode of Welcome to Wrexham or in a commercial giving them the ability to reach a larger audience.

  2. I've said it before that Americans do not like spoilers. Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham covered the clubs 2022/23 season journey and aired about 1/3 of the way into the 2023/24 season. This means that if anyone watching the documentary decided to look up any current information about the club, they would see that Wrexham AFC won the league and promotion at the end of the 2022/23 season. That would ruin the ending of season 2 and all that suspense that they have built up during all the episodes leading up to the finale. To put it another way, that's like if your friend was on their way to go see Harry Potter or Star Wars and you told them "Oh by the way, Dumbledore dies in the end" or "Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father". That kind of spoiler is likely to get you punched in the face.

  3. Not sure if this would even happen, but they could even drop a Deadpool 3 or announce a new Deadpool 3 trailer will be airing during an episode of season 3. Hell, that alone would probably bring another 150 million viewers to that 1 episode alone. Deadpool 3 is currently set to release on July 26.

There is a tremendous amount of potential to bring more supporters to the club just by simply airing season 3 earlier in the year like they are. I may or may not be correct in some of my assumptions here but I think they make a lot of sense. Whatever the idea behind it is, lets hope it takes the club in the right direct.

Up the town!
